Bit of a glitch on the Mac.
I first want to say that the graphics are wonderful! I love how all the characters have been rendered.
Now the glitch I'm getting makes it so that if there are two people on the page, then they don't stand side by side; they overlap. Just looks a little odd, and I was wondering if it was fixable. It seems like it wouldn't be too hard, I've played with ren'py before.
Here's how it looks...

Edit: Although, it kinda fits for Pinkie.

Oh good. A few people have mentioned something like that but never got back to me when I asked for details.
Passed on.

Hi there,
Can you tell me what kind of monitor you're using? It looks to me like the window isn't the correct aspect Ratio (16:9, since the game is 1280x720).
Are you using a small/old/<720p monitor to play the game?

No, my screen is 16:9. The window was small when it opened, so I manually made it larger. I'll see if that was the problem.sirspiders wrote:

That... Is quite strange...Moss wrote:No, my screen is 16:9. The window was small when it opened, so I manually made it larger. I'll see if that was the problem.

What model Mac are you using? Are you using an external monitor?

Ah.. It's an early-2011 model Macbook Pro laptop, 13 inch, running OS 10.7.5.

Hmmm... That has a resolution of 1280 by 800...Moss wrote:Ah.. It's an early-2011 model Macbook Pro laptop, 13 inch, running OS 10.7.5.
Try running the game in fullscreen mode and see if that helps anything.

That's what I meant by maximizing the window. I don't see an option to go entirely full-screen.sirspiders wrote:

If you press the Esc key while in game, then click the preferences menu, it should be in thereMoss wrote:

Could you try quitting the game while in fullscreen then opening it again? It may need to restart to sort itself out.Moss wrote:

Re: Bit of a glitch on the Mac.
Just tried, hoped it'd work.. But it didn't, unfortunately. Still looks the same.
Another thing I noticed is that the text isn't centered properly on the opening screen. And on the main menu, the background starts off showing a white silhouette of who I assume to be Twilight, but then it disappears off to the side.

Oh, and I dunno if there are supposed to be black bars or not.

I noticed something weird about your screenshots. Although your laptop supports 1280x800 (according to http://support.apple.com/kb/sp619 ), you seem to be running it at 800x500 (going from the resolution of your screenshots).
You'll need to change your resolution to the full native resolution of 1280x800. You can get instructions for that here in case you need them: http://blogmines.com/blog/2011/10/14/how-change-the-resolution-on-mac-os-x-lion/

Looks like it could be an issue with Ren'Py. I've filed a bug report and hopefully all will be well

Re: Bit of a glitch on the Mac.
Could you upload your debug.log for us? It should be in the directory you put the game in. If not, you might want to run a search through Spotlight or somesuch.

Re: Bit of a glitch on the Mac.
Sorry, it could be called "log.txt".
It should really be in the directory the app's in though.

Re: Bit of a glitch on the Mac.
Okay, I think I might have a fix for you.
Could you download this: https://gist.github.com/bobobo1618/22a6ff570fada1cce7d2/raw/e7883331d47b53efc67c5430fb0f298e0ae0d9f9/options.rpy
And save it as "options.rpy" inside the "game" directory where the demo is? Delete the "options.rpyc" file that's already there as well.
After that, try running the game and tell me how it goes.
