Mac Launching Error

So I'm having the weird thing, i used to be able to open the demo no problem, but when i went to show it to my friend i had to re-download it, (Storage Nazi on my macbook) and now it wont open. I copied it to my applications, linked to the resource folder, but it still just crashes before i can even open it?

Were you running the old (pony names) version when it worked? Does it run if you don't copy it to your applications folder? Any error messages?

Yeah I was using the old one, but I'm not really sure that just things like variable changes would cause something to break would it?
No, no error messages at all, it just pops into my bar at the bottom for half a second and then just disappears.

Depending how old the version you were using was. One of the earlier versions was saving corrupted data.

If you delete your old save data it should be fine.

The save directories are '%APPDATA%\RenPy' on windows I'm pretty sure, '~/Library/RenPy' on Mac and '~/.renpy' on Linux.
