Pony Science! :D
So yeah, this is a thread idea I thought of in the Legends of Equestria forums and a lot of people digged it, so I figured I'd make one on here. This thread is for things like theories about the ages of ponies, or how the magic works, and so on. So if you think you can tell me how two earth ponies give birth to twins, one of which is a pegasus and the other a unicr0n, tell me the theory in this thread. >w< KHAPPYPOSTING.

I always figured the Cakes' children were a case of recessive genes, like red hair, just way more extreme.
It doesn't a whole lot of sense genetically, but within the ponyverse it might work.

Faust confirmed the genetics theory on her dA a long time ago. I don't have the link on me at the moment, though.

But if they're twins, wouldn't they be the same breed? Even if they were fraternal, they would still be the same breed at least. If a german shepard mates with a golden retriever, you don't see them give birth to half a litter of shepards and half a litter of retrievers.Ruthalas_ wrote:I always figured the Cakes' children were a case of recessive genes, like red hair, just way more extreme.

I believe this was before Baby Cakes. She doesn't elaborate here.

Because we have the element of magic in the show, I like to think that all sorts of brological and scientific things are sort of muddled up by it in a way that's accepted and/or understood by ponies, but undefinable for us.
It's like the Force, it a weird sort of way---- I liked it when it was mysterious and undefinable. When they put midichlorians into the mix, the Force was totally ruined for me. I want to know the Force is strong in someone because a powerful Jedi told me, not because of a blood test!!! No fun!"

I guess different people enjoy things differently. I for one like to explore "why" in TV shows. xD; Maybe I'm just weird.

You should probably never watch Doctor Who, then. It's enough to make your brain hurt if you think too hard about it.
Re: Pony Science! :D
I love Doctor Who, but I've only ever seen like two episodes. xD Still brilliant though.
