Re: The Text Problem
No one else has had a problem with the text size. Perhaps it's not displaying correctly on your computer. Can you give us a screenshot if it looks different from screenshots on the site?

Sure.
Here.
Re: The Text Problem
Actually I believe that's the size it's supposed to be. o3o Though I agree there should be a text size option somewhere.

Re: The Text Problem
Variable font size isn't a possibility. It's difficult enough making sure blocks of text fit on the screen without worrying if they'll display right in different sizes.
As for the size now, I don't think we're going to change it. This is the only case of someone having an issue with it in almost 20,000 downloads. Even on a small phone screen, it's mostly readable at a sitting position (and we haven't started tweaking the size for mobile yet).

Then I guess I won't be playing the game.
No point in playing it if I can't read it any.
Though why you made the text so small is baffling to me now.
I've played Ren'Py games before.
Almost all of them had larger text windows with larger text and were easily seen.

If I can just jump in here for a moment, I don't see the problem. The text is easily readable if you have a large enough screen, and I can't vouch for the mobile version (as I'm not staff), but Wavedash seems to have faith in it. The screenshot you posted didn't help matters, it seemed completely fine. The only things I can think of are that you're making a mountain out of a molehill, or you have sight issues. If the former, then come on, dood. If the latter, then the fact that literally nobody else has brought this up makes sense.
Though this does bring me to one issue I had, fullscreen doesn't take up the whole screen (at least for me). It does stretch to widescreen, but the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen are distracting. It's minor, and I can just play windowed, but an issue nonetheless.

I just ran the demo again now. I normally keep the game windowed as I like to run VN's on my secondary screen (my TV) and trying to fullscreen them cases it to go full onto my primary screen. I just tested the fullscreen option of the demo and it goes full just fine. My resolution for my primary screen is 1366 x 768 (if this helps anything)

Re: The Text Problem
Personally I don't find anything wrong with the size. o3o However, if someone did have a problem with it, I think it'd be neat to have a feature like that.
Then again I guess I can see why you can't implement that feature. >w<; Sorry, Nightgaze.

Re: The Text Problem
Oh. I see what's happening here. I think the problem here comes from the fact that both you and TheHockeyGamer are running monitors that aren't 16:9, which is quickly becoming the most common ratio. That's why you're getting the black letterboxing on the top and bottom.
We made a conscious decision when we started the project that we'd rather future-proof the game with a 16:9 ratio than stick with older 4:3 visuals. Most visual novels are still 4:3 right now and fit on your screen perfectly, so that's why you haven't had text size issues before. You're in the minority, though. If we had gone with 4:3, most players would have black bars on the sides of their 16:9 screens instead.
Basically, you're just using an older screen. Sorry I didn't notice the letterboxing on your screenshot before. Maybe a reason to start thinking about upgrading?
I'm aware that the answer "upgrade" is lousy, but it's just one of those things. If we were a big game studio we could spend resources on tailoring it to fit everyone's unique setup, but we don't have that kind of manpower. Really sorry about that.

No need to apologize, I've been planning on upgrading regardless. Didn't think it was my monitor, though, guess I'll just replace everything. I actually have to upgrade anyway if I want to ever do anything on my computer, actually, it's just been a paperweight for the past few months (which is why I'm not on here as frequently).

This quote brought forth an image in my head of a computer monitor in the same position as Harry Potter with the Dursleys in the first book.
